Ohio Stakes Previews

The Ohio Sires Stakes for 3-year olds begin this weekend at Lebanon Raceway. Friday Night's card features four divisions for three-year-old filly trotters and two divisions for three-year-old filly pacers. The colts and geldings race on Saturday night, with four divisions of trotters and three divisions of pacers. Lebanon Raceway provides entries for Friday and Saturday. The Ohio State Racing Commission provides schedules for all OSS divisions.

Beulah Park has two stakes races scheduled for Saturday. The Babst/Palacios Memorial Stakes features three Ohio-bred champions. Ohio champion handicap horse Cat Singer and champion sprinter Pforperfectpistol are both making their first starts of the year. Ohio accredited male champion Catlaunch is coming off a win last month at River Downs. Also on Saturday's card at Beulah Park is the Alyssa Handicap for fillies and mares who have started at Beulah Park during the current meet. Beulah Park provides free past performances for all nominees to the Babst/Palacios and the Alyssa. Equibase provides entries.
