Races of the Week, Breeders' Cup Edition

In the Juvenile Fillies, Indian Blessing looks like a deserving favorite. She's undefeated, and there's not much other early speed in the race. Brisnet.com, via Bob Baffert, provides free past performances.

The undefeated War Pass looks like another deserving favorite in the Juvenile. His front-running style is well suited to Monmouth, and he has five bullet works. Brisnet.com, via Ken McPeek, provides free past performances.

In the Filly and Mare Turf, I'll bet Honey Ryder, who likes 1 3/8 mile on the turf, and races well off a layoff. Brisnet.com, via Stonerside Stable, provides free past performances.

I'll go with Smokey Stover in the Sprint. He's never finished worse than third, and his Beyer figures are competitive. Brisnet.com, via Bob Baffert, provides free past performances.

In the Mile, I'll bet Kip Deville, who likes the distance and whose Beyer figures are competitive with the rest of this field. Brisnet.com, via Graham Motion, provides free past performances.

Indian Vale looks like a deserving favorite in the Distaff. She's 6 for 7 at the distance and, as a front runner, should run well at Monmouth. Brisnet.com, via Stronach Stables, provides free past performances. So does the Daily Racing Form.

I'll bet English Channel in the Turf. Dylan Thomas looks formidable, but English Channel is undefeated on the turf at Monmouth. Brisnet.com, via Todd Pletcher, provides free past performances.

I'll bet Street Sense in the Classic. Street Sense is undefeated at a mile and a quarter. He comes into this race off of a prep on Polytrack, which worked well for him in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile last year and the Kentucky Derby earlier this year. Brisnet.com, via Todd Pletcher, provides free past performances. So does Equibase.
