Races of the Week

Last week, I had the Curlin-Street Sense exacta in the Preakness Stakes, which paid $11.60 for a $1 bet. In the Shuvee Handicap, I picked the wrong Allen Jerkens filly. Swap Flipparoo finished last while her stablemate, Teammate, won.

Today, the Daily Racing Form's races of the week are the Louisville Handicap at Churchill Downs and the Sheepshead Bay Handicap at Belmont Park.

In the Louisville Handicap, I'll bet Always First, who likes the distance and can come from off the pace. The Form provides free past performances.

In the Sheepshead Bay, Honey Ryder looks like the class of the field, but she's coming off of a two month layoff after making the trip to Dubai. I'll try for the upset with Safari Queen, who can get the distance and has won four of her last five starts, all graded stakes. The Form provides free past performances.

Just looking over sites as a new addition to the TBA. I like the format of yours.
It's similar to mine in that you pick a few races, and support the picks by going through your thought process as to why your picking them. I also like the links to stakes nominations, an angle I use quite often early in race meets. It's nice to see a maiden nominated for a stake later in the meet.
